Welcome to my little space on the internet. I have oft been called a Jack-of-all-Trades and while there is some truth in that, I can actually sum up my passions, work, and goals to be anything that is creative, innovative, positive, curatorial, and inspiring.

I enjoy keeping one foot in the world of paint and paper, and another in the world of ideation, UX, UI, content creation, and technology.

I have trained and worked as an artist, and an editor—always curating, always creating.

In my spare time I dream in innovative apps and entrepreneurial ethos.

BLOG

CONTACT

These days life is all about curation, from who you pin on Pinterest to what you share on your blog. Curation is something I do every day, in everything I do. I enjoy the challenge that curation brings to every task. How can I do this better, how can I improve the user experience, how can I make something more interesting, educational, enjoyable or profitable.

curator

As Editorial Director of the Mixed-media group at FW Media, I curated a successful content pyramid with a solid base of content built on print publication and innovative digital publishing products and also comprised of a profitable library of video products, kits, ecommerce, live events, and a television program.
As Director of Content Marketing I was responsible for the curation of innovative ideas that spoke to the pain points of our advertising partners—which included proposals for everything from all-encompassing education programs to original content television series.
In an effort to encourage people to live more creatively, I built and curated an online community of writers, content and engagement, called EverdayArtistStudio.com.

I work in shades of whimsy, secrets, and mixed media. I tell stories with paint, paper, and found objects.

POCKETS PULLOUTS AND HIDING PLACES:

A Guide to Interactive Altered Books, Memory Art, and Collage teaches the paper engineering techniques for making three dimensional and interactive "paper tools" such as vellum pockets or hinged doors that reveal mini booklets underneath. These tools are applicable to alter book, memory art, and collage artists at any level of experience. The tools are also adjustable enough to be used in any style of work.

THE CARDMAKER'S WORKBOOK

The Cardmaker's Workbook is the only book on cardmaking that a crafter will ever need, and is formatted in a sturdy volume that can kept on the desk and referred to again and again. The book is divided into chapters focusing on composition, color, theme, construction and inspiration. Instructions are clear but concise, making room for large pictures and multiple variations. It has the look of a designer's notebook with sketches and templates that show different card formats.

THE ART OF THE FAMILY TREE

Researching family history is the second most popular topic on the Internet (after sex). With more than 4 billion records online today and more becoming available everyday, the Internet is fueling the growth of this popular hobby by simplifying the process of finding information and connecting with individuals who share a common branch in their family tree. This unique book combines the general surge of interest in genealogy with the popularity of memory crafts and book and journal making. The projects featured encompass many mixed-media techniques and provide beautiful ideas for creating family trees that will become family heirlooms and keepsakes.
ALTERED PAPER JEWELRY

By mixing relatively simple jewelry making methods with standard paper arts techniques, Altered Paper Jewelry offers paper crafters, altered art aficionados, and jewelry makers creative new ideas for creating stylish and contemporary jewelry from gorgeous paper.

Giving handmade gifts is always in style! And these personalized gifts are more meaningful than most store-bought items, especially in today's world of homogeneous merchandise. Crafters have delved into a celebration of personalized work and this book offers a wide range of beautiful paper-based projects to help them expand their creative skills.
